2023 Visitors Guide

 General Information

Welcome to Hyde Park High School. This visitors guide will provide you with some general information regarding the Hyde Park facilities and our upcoming game.

  • Hyde Park has an artificial turf football field.

  • Participating schools use officials approved by TAPPS.

    Austin – TASO (Texas Association of Sports Officials) is the approved chapter that assigns officials for the upcoming game.

  • The Hyde Park Athletic Director, Stephen Bratcher, is the Game Day Administrator and will be at the game.

    The Visitor Operations Coordinator, Nami Lee, will meet you when you arrive and will be available to help answer any questions. Please contact Nami at nami.lee@hpfootball.org or (512) 771-6112.

  • The visiting team will have three (3) spots reserved on the west side of the press box.

    The videographer will be stationed on top of the press box. NOTE: The videographer will be required to climb up a ladder in order to access this area.

  • There are 4 field passes available for the visiting team. Please send in the names of anyone that will need a field pass (ie. Athletic Directors, Principals, photograhers, etc) to Nami Lee by Wednesday at 5PM of game week.

  • Hyde Park will have an Athletic Training staff on site. Water will be available during the game.

  • Bus - The Visitor Admin will meet the player bus at the entrance near the field house. The buses will be directed to circle around the school and to drop the team next to the field house in order to facilitate the flow of incoming traffic. The Visitor Admin will then escort the team to the locker room. After drop off, the buses have the option to park near the tennis courts.

    Fans - Visitors will be directed to park in the designated visitor parking lot (the first parking lot to the right as you enter onto campus).

  • The visitor’s locker room is located in the field house. Upon arrival, the Visitor Admin will escort the team from the bus to the locker room. The locker room is equipped with a shower facility, toilets, and sinks. Doors to the locker room must be kept shut at all times.

  • The visiting team bench is on the south side of the field (same side as the press box and bleachers).

    Warm-ups for the visiting team will take place on the East side of the field (end zone nearest to the field house).

  • There is a power outlet near the section of the south side of the east end zone (near the baseball scoreboard). This is where you will set up your team run-out inflatable.

    You are required to bring your own extension cords to access the power supply.

  • Upon request, each visiting team will be allotted up to a maximum of 7 minutes (including set-up) to perform a halftime program. All scripting of the announcement and introduction of the team must be provided by the visiting team. The announcement of the visiting team’s halftime program is made by the home team’s game announcer.

    If your school is planning a halftime performance, please email the details of the halftime program to Nami Lee at nami.lee@hpfootball.org by Wednesday of game week.

  • $10 - General Admission / $7 - Visiting Student

    Tickets will be made available for purchase one week prior to the scheduled game date.

    Proof of tickets will be required in order to enter the parking area. If tickets have not been purchased prior to arrival, the parking attendant will direct you to a designated area where you will be able to purchase your tickets online.

  • Gates will be opening up at 6 PM for visitors to enter the stadium area for seating.

    The Visitor Section is located on the east side of the press box. There are two (2) areas of seating provided for the visiting fans/Cheer/Drill Team/Band:

    • Upper Level Bleachers (~80 seats) - STADIUM SEATS/CUSHIONS ARE ALLOWED

    • Lower Level Amphitheater Seating (~50 seats) - STADIUM SEATS/CUSHIONS ARE ALLOWED

    ALL STAND-ALONE FOLDING/CAMPING CHAIRS ARE PROHIBITED.

  • Hyde Park home games will broadcasted live on VYPE Live. The livestream link is www.vypelive.com.

  • Visiting fans may tailgate with non-alcoholic drinks in the visitor parking lot (the first parking lot to the right as you enter onto campus). Food and drinks may not be brought into the football field area.

  • Hyde Park will have a concession stand open. Items available for purchase typically include hamburgers, hot dogs, candy, snacks, and drinks but can change at any time due to availability.

    Cash, Apple Pay, credit cards, and Venmo are accepted as forms of payment.

  • Restroom facilities are located in the Christian Life Center (CLC) building located west of the football field.

  • Hyde Park will employ a uniformed peace officer on site before, during, and after the game for traffic control and security.

  • If lightning is detected within 10 miles, all parties will be moved to their vehicles or indoors. The event will be resumed once 30 minutes have passed since the last evidence of lightning. Game officials are responsible for declaring a weather delay or cancellation. The game announcer will convey instructions on where to relocate in case of emergency.

  • No live animal mascots, cannons, firearms, fireworks, etc. No dogs or other animals. No sound systems other than the official announcer’s system. No body paint or like decoration by players or spectators (small markings as sold by school organizations are permitted on the cheek). No streamers, confetti or other like materials. No air horns or bull horns, handheld or otherwise. No use of, or the appearance of using any controlled substance (alcohol, drugs, etc.) before, during or after games.

  • Portions of the TAPPS Guidelines for Football Performances are below. Please forward these guidelines to the band director.

    Band instruments, including drums, are not to be played at any time other than when the entire band is playing.

    During the contest, bands are to play only

    a. during pregame,

    b. halftime,

    c. postgame,

    d. the time between quarters,

    e. time-outs (except injury time-outs) and

    f. between plays (stopping prior to the referee’s whistle for “ready for play”).
